Jake is a beautiful boy with a ton of potential! He was rescued from a kill shelter in South Carolina (with 3 other Border Collies.) Jake is a sweet, loving boy that just needs someone to take their time with him.

His previous life left some emotional scares that he is working on very well (I don’t believe his previous owners were very nice to him.) He just wants some companionship and a gentle hand.
He will bond very well to his new person and will make a wonderful companion for some who has the time and heart to give him the second chance he truly deserves!

Rescued from a kill shelter (with 3 other Border Collies) in South Carolina. Stitch is sweet and silly but a bite shy from her previous experiences.

She is extremely friendly and willing to learn!! She has been rapidly coming out of her shell since I have had her. Stitch is crate trained and quiet in the house. She is fine with other animals too!

Tucker is a handsome Border Collie/Setter mix. He is young, about 10 months old, and sweet, but a little unsure of people he doesn't know. Tucker needs a family that will give him lots of TLC and build his confidence. He is playful and gentle and gets along very well with other dogs and cats. He is house broken and crate trained. Kyra is a sweet, affectionate girl with the cutest freckles. She is about 6 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Kyra is fairly laid-back and gentle, but has a quirky Border Collie personality. She does have herding interest which carries over into her dealings with other dogs and cats. She is crate trained and doing well with house breaking. Hi I'm Radar! My foster mom isn't sure what my heritage is but as you can see, I'm very cute and have the greatest ears. I'm about 1-1/2 years old and weigh 48 pounds. Playing with the other dogs is fun and I like cats too. I really like squeaky toys and playing tug of war. Chess is quite a character. He is mixed with something larger than a Border Collie, possibly American Bulldog or Mastiff. He is slim like a Border Collie but taller than average, and he has a bigger head like one of the large breeds. He is very intelligent and affectionate, but also very strong willed. He needs someone who can handle a smart, but sometimes obstinate, dog. He is good with female dogs and cats, but tends to be a bully with male dogs. He loves toys, especially balls, and is very happy to entertain himself, although he will fetch at times especially if he gets a 'cookie'. Tammy Faye is not quite a year old and weighs about 40 lbs. She is one of the sweetest dogs I've fostered. She loves her person and shows it whenever she has a chance by giving hugs, kisses and licks.

She is smart too - likes to fetch, run, and play tug-of-war with my neighbor's dogs, but also can keep herself occupied with her toys when alone. She is crate trained and housebroken and gets along with other friendly dogs. Tammy likes to lick and nibble on my cats, but doesn't always know when to stop so she still needs some guidance with this.

She runs like she is part whippet! So she must be kept on a leash or in a secure fenced yard when outside. Tammy is as loyal as she is cute and is looking forward to finding her forever home.

Hi I'm Ellie. I am a beautiful 1 year old Border Collie. I am playful and active. I am good with women and children but can be fearful of men. Lynx is a handsome older gentleman, about 8 years old. He is well behaved and gets along with female dogs and cats. He can be a bit nippy with other male dogs. Lynx enjoys walks and car rides and would be great for someone looking for a nice companion.  He is a little reserved with strangers, but is happy and affectionate once he gets to know you.. Holly is a beautiful female Border Collie. She is playful and friendly with people. Holly is an active girl. She can be pushy with other dogs, but for the most part, she behaves very well. Holly is located in North Carolina

Meet Breezy! Breezy is a beautiful tri-colored Border Collie who needs YOUR help! Not long after coming into rescue, Breezy started to limp. When her condition did not improve, the vet decided to take x-rays and discovered that Breezy had severe hip-dysplasia on one side. In order to ease her pain, Breezy underwent extensive FHO surgery to correct the deformed hip. The surgery is very expensive and ARC needs donations to be able to pay the vet bill. Rae is a young female Border Collie, 1 - 2 years old. She is a tricolor with a smooth coat with the greatest ears. Rae is agile, smart, and fast and would be a great prospect for agility and obedience training. She is very affectionate and attentive, and really likes to spend time with her foster mom. Rae is good with other dogs, but sometimes sneaks in a nip or two; she requires super vision with cats. She is crate trained and house broken. I am located near Richmond, VA. This little girl is an absolute delight! She is exceptionally friendly to everyone she meets, and, her happy face will make one smile. She has a nice soft mouth and takes treats gently and politely. Although she may not be a beauty queen, she has a wonderful personality and sweet disposition.

Fit and trim Charlie, is an exceptional athlete, even at the age of 9. If there were canine Senior Olympics, she would be a star. She has no trouble keeping up with her 12, much younger, foster siblings either on land or in the water.

After eight years as a devoted companion, Charlie was surrendered to a shelter in VA, (without a name!), for chasing cars. She has not demonstrated any desire to do that in her foster home but she does have a very strong herding instinct. It is obvious she has a working heritage but has not been trained properly if at all. She will chase livestock if given the opportunity. Perhaps the shelter staff misunderstood, and the owner said cows, not cars! Because of her fascination with livestock, a home without those temptations may be best. Cats are a definite “no no” too.

Charlie is very responsive to voice commands and has excellent recall. She wants so much to please her humans. She is smart and highly trainable and therefore would make an excellent obedience competitor.

Charlie loves playing stalking games with her one of her young foster sisters, Charlie plays the stalker. She gets along remarkably well with her numerous foster siblings. The only friction is with two strong females in the household.

She does become uneasy during thunderstorms but only needs to be near her human.

Charlie is housetrained, crate trained, heartworm negative, spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations and, other than slight overbite, is in excellent health.

Charlie’s new family will be given the gift of an extremely devoted companion.

Dare has been with us now for several weeks and she has made great progress. Even though she is still a busy girl, she is learning her manners and how to interact with other pups very nicely. Dare has learned how to Sit, Down, Spin, Stay and Come (but we are working more on this), Bed and Crate. We have also been playing around with agility and with her great desire to work, she is doing very well. Dare LOVES to work and is at her happiest while training, she is super food driven! This girl will blossom with someone wanting to do obedience or any training with her. Basically, we don't feel Dare had the training from her Momma at an early age about puppy manners, Dare is not aggressive with others, she just doesn't know what is acceptable, but she is learning. One of her foster sisters is a very Motherly/Alpha BC that is teaching her the ropes much more than I could! With Dare's excitable personality, a family with older children will be required. Dare would do very well with a submissive/laid back dog family, a companion that enjoys play as she really does love playing with the others. We have also found that Dare is great with cats!! Dare is super sweet and LOVES people, she really does want to please you, she just needs that family patient enough to let her calm down to show you!
