Other expenses for our dogs have included Parvo and heartworm treatments, spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming and miscellaneous medical treatments. With the economic issues our country is facing, we expect this year to be just as challenging… but with help from everyone, we can continue to help the neglected and homeless. Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue, Inc., (ARCBCR) of Richmond, Virginia is a dream come true for a passionate group of Border Collie lovers who had the good fortune of meeting and befriending each other through past rescue work.

The purpose of ARCBCR is to rescue Border Collies and Border Collie mixes from situations that are neglectful, abusive, and endangering. We take in dogs from shelters, dogs found as strays, and dogs that can no longer be kept by their current families.

ARCBCR provides the following for each and every one of our dogs: a loving and caring foster home, all necessary veterinary care, and any rehabilitation a dog might need enabling it to acclimate into its loving, forever home.  

You can be assured that each and every penny goes back into the next dog we take in.

Our adoption fee is $225.00. If you adopt a dog from ARCBCR, your dog will come to you spayed or neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and current on heartworm preventative.

The reality is, while you are making arrangements to take home your new family member, one of us is making arrangements to evaluate and rescue the next ARCBCR dog in need.

ARCBCR members know that it’s ALWAYS all about the dogs.

Therefore, we are committed to evaluating every dog and every applicant to ensure that we adopt and place every dog into the hands of the best possible family for that dog.
