Milo is an energetic border collie boy looking for an active home.  He is about 1 year old and full of himself. He dons a beautiful eye- catching tricolor rough coat of medium length.  He is a smart guy, and like many border collies will find things to do when bored or under exercised.  So, his ideal new home should one where he will get plenty of physical activity throughout the day, perhaps some mind challenging activities, and social interaction with people and other dogs.  He will get bored if left to pass the time alone.

Milo enjoys fast-paced walks but will need frequent runs to keep his energy level satisfied.  So, a rural home with acreage, or a suburban home with a large enough lot for him to stretch out in, is going to be best for him.  His model home would also include people who are around the house a lot, a running partner, someone to play fetch with, and another dog buddy to play with - he adores playing catch-me-if-you-can with his canine foster sister…great for expending some of that energy! He also seems to prefer being outside alot; and, he would benefit from some daily involvement in a mind stimulating activity such as agility, frisbee, nose work, tricks, etc.  to engage his thinking skills.

Milo is a super friendly guy.  He loves people, kids and other dogs.  He is going to make a wonderful family dog.  He already knows his basic commands (sit, wait, paw, down, come) and enjoys learning.  So, he has great potential for some fun trick training or agility.  He is housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and weighs around 40 pounds.  He is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue.  He is currently residing west of Richmond, VA in Apple Grove. For more information on Milo you can email his foster family at  or apply to adopt below.
