Meadow is a 9 month short haired border collie. She is almost entirely house trained; and will let you know when she has to go out, knows basic commands. Very intelligent. I walk her 2-5 miles a day and play fetch or tug of war all the time. However, it has been brought to our attention she would be better in a home by herself with older children. She is crate trained at night and very loving on her own. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is a great dog but she needs to be an only dog with older kids and a place to run! Like she does here.
You must walk her as soon as she leaves her crate in the morning to pee and poop. Here she wakes up at 6am with us. Then she eats and wants to play for at least 20-30 minutes before you do anything else. Then she needs to go out again to do all of her business for a second time by 7:30am. She spends the mornings in the yard with my parents while they work on their garden.
Alone she is a perfect puppy. We have worked with our vet and a behaviorist and they agree she would thrive better in a home as the only pet. We are very sad to put her up for adoption but know this is better for Meadow and want to see her go to a loving home. We have been rescuing animals for years and will not surrender her to a shelter. Meadow is located in Chantilly VA. If you would like more information about Meadow you can email firstname.lastname@example.org
