Mary came from small rural shelter where her chances of finding a new home were slim. She is a mix breed with the black and white pattern typical of a Border Collie.. hence the reason she caught the eye of her now caring foster parents.

This lovely girl is around 3 years old, 45 lbs, with a short easy-care coat that shows little shedding. Since coming into foster care she has learned how to sit and is progressing nicely with leash walking and other basic commands. She is crate trained, but would much rather cuddle in bed with you as she really is a "Love Bug"! She gets along extremely well with the other canine companions at her foster home, including a female and male. She and her Rottie roommate have become best buds. She has not been tested with cats, or children; but, given her sweet nature, her foster dad feels she would be accepting of both.

Mary has wiggled her way into her foster parents hearts... spending her nights in bed, snuggled up to them, always eager to please, asking for nothing but love and attention. When first arriving she found fun in chewing up their bedroom slippers. However, one scolding took care of that... She is a smart girl!.

Her foster parents have gotten Mary into beautiful shape and are ready to find her a loving forever home. Like most dogs, she will blossom with a family that can provide additional training and attention.

Mary is spayed, utd in vaccinations, and on heartworm and flea prevention. Mary is being fostered on the Eastern Shore of Virginia by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue. If you would like more information about Mary you can email or apply to adopt below.
