Abe is a one year old, high energy boy looking for an active lifestyle.  If limited to only a few words to describe him it would be, "a playful bundle if energy".

Abe spends much of his day running, romping and playing in his three acre fenced "playpen".  He self entertains by playing with his favorite donut toy and taunting his canine companions into playing with him.  When mom arrives it's time for walks and a good game of fetch!

Underneath all his outward exuberance is a smart, affectionate boy who wants to please, seems interested in learning, and really enjoys being close with his people.  He stays close by on walks; he is learning to trade his ball for a treat; he quickly sits for a treat; and he loves being petted.  But, other then that he is a rather clean slate and will need a person who is willing to do basic training with him.  His energy and personality also give him  good sporting potential.

Abe is going to make a great family dog.  However, he will need a family committed to giving him lots of off leash exercise.  He will also need a sizable yard and preferably another dog to play with.  Children should be older as he can get jumpy.

Abe is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue in Apple Grove, VA... just west if Richmond.  He is 44 pounds, neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention.
