Atlas is a gorgeous tri-colored boy with the spunk and spirit to match his stunning looks. We think his long wedge-shaped head and tipped ears might indicate that he has Shetland Sheepdog or Rough Collie genes in him. But whatever his genetic makeup is, it made for a very handsome and awesome dog!

This one year old boy is pretty high energy and will be looking for an active lifestyle with someone who can offer him ample exercise and play time.. He is athletic, quick on the fly and agile and would do well with someone interested in a sporting dog; but, he would likewise do well with a family interested in the more simple pursuits such as fetching, walking or running. He seems flexible with the type of entertainment as long as he gets enough of it.

Atlas is a friendly guy that loves to be around people and will make a nice family dog. He is a bit jumpy right now so probably not a candidate for a home with small children. He is, however, a candidate for a family with older children that can help love on him and tire him out. He will also benefit in a home with other dogs... preferably young active dogs. He gets bored with older dogs that don't want to play and will bark at, and taunt, them if they don't comply with his desire to play.

Atlas is a nice all around, active and friendly. He knows some basic commands and is intelligent and eager to learn. He should be happy with country or suburban life just as long as he has a large yard for running and playing and gets enough regular exercise and attention.

Atlas is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue near Richmond, Virginia. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on heartworm and flea prevention. If interested in Atlas you can apply to adopt below. Questions about Atlas can be sent to
