Abby is a black and white border collie/mountain dog mix. She is approximately 50 pounds and 1- 1 1/2 years old. Abby was abandoned at a pet resort in North Carolina and waited for approximately six months for rescue. When she first came to her foster home, she was understandably a wild child. However, since coming to us she has learned sit, down, go crate and to "trade" her toy for a treat. She does well in a crate at night and while we are gone. She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and seems to enjoy car rides. She gets along great with our dogs. She has recently been exposed to our grandchildren, 8-18 years of age, and while we wouldn't eliminate a younger child, she really did do better with the teenagers, even thought the 8 year old was teaching her to sit instead of jumping up on him. She can be loving, but also mischievous. She would definitely benefit from obedience training, consistent exercise or a "job". She is up to date on her shots and is spayed.

Abby is being fostered on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, she is spayed and up to date with shots. If you would like more information about Abby you can email, or apply to adopt below.
