JASPER
Jasper is a neutered, vaccinated, 3 ½ border collie who is on heartworm prevention, and fully house trained. He has no bite history. He truly believes every person he meets, adults and children alike, is his friend. He also loves other dogs and has remained friendly even after another dog bit him.
Jasper is a very loving dog who gives plenty of kisses and cuddles. He loves playing with balls, sits patiently before he eats, and enjoys spending time outdoors. He is full of personality and affection and would make a wonderful companion for the right person or family.
The reason the family is seeking placement is that Jasper is reactive to cats, and there are four cats in the household. They have been managing separation, but it has become increasingly difficult and unsafe, particularly because owner is currently dealing with mobility and balance issues. Jasper is not a bad dog; he simply needs a home without cats and ideally with someone who understands the energy and needs of a Border Collie.
This is a very painful decision for the family, and they want to do everything they can to make sure he is placed safely and responsibly.
