DIPA
Dipa is a beautiful young lady with the looks of a black and tan English Shepherd. At 6 years old she's in her prime with years of adventure, fun and companionship to offer. Plus, she has one of the best doggie smiles you'll ever see, with eyes that will melt your heart!
Dippa is all about being with her people; and, she thoroughly enjoys a household where she can be in the mix with them. She has a nice medium energy level that is perfect for moderately active people. You can look forward to playing with toys, taking walks and romping around the backyard together; then, settling on the couch side by side to watch a good movie. She's also equally content to lay around the house on a rainy day soaking up all the belly scratches she can get.
Dippa is very eager to please and is extremely trainable; she has mastered lots of commands, has good eye contact, and will do anything for a treat. She is comfortable both indoors and outdoors. She can be left unattended without getting anxious or destructive. She has not shown any resource guarding, separation anxiety or noise sensitivity.
Dipa will also keep you entertained with her is goofy personality. She LOVES to talk and will tell you all about her day. A full conversation isn't unusual, including a little back talk when she has a strong opinion about something. Very endearing.
Dippa currently coexists with a cat and has lived with LOTS of dogs over the past years. She can be a little particular with who her canine playmates are but "she approves" of most of them. Little dogs tend to be her favorite! Dippa will slip easily into an only-dog home; or, into a multiple-dog home with managed introductions.
One of Dippa's natural traits is loyalty to her people. And, as most people know, with devotion comes a degree of standoffish with new people. But with calm introductions (and a few treats) Dippa welcomes friends and family into her "inner circle," and quickly loves them to pieces!!! For large gatherings, where things can get over stimulating, a separate room is to her liking.
Dipa's ideal home would be quiet with older children and adults; have a large yard or rural open space to play in, or for her to follow you around when doing chores or gardening; and, humanoids that enjoy the company of a devoted companion. Dippa will do best in the hands of dog owners who have experience with trust building.
Dippa is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vetting. For more information about her, reach out to her foster Britt at brittanyjas13@gmail.com or fill out an application below
