At just five months old, Freckles in ready to jump into his next big adventure…a forever home! This sweet little mixed-breed love bug is truly thriving in his foster home, where he's been busy wrestling, tugging, and playing with a big pack of dog friends that live there; and, getting tutored by hid foster mom. But, he is ready for a family of his very own—one where he can soak up all the love and be the center of attention. Freckles thinks he is the handsomest dog in her mom's pack—and her foster mom tends to agree! Just look at those big, beautiful ears, athletic build, and that stunning coat… I mean, come on!”
Freckles is a family dream dog. He has a moderate energy level, is accepting of cats; loves people and adores other dogs. He is playful, intelligent and fun and will make a stellar addition to any home environment. He knows basic commands, is leash and crate trained. He is also a self entertainer - when everybody else is taking a break he will play by himself, and at the same time, keep you amused with his solitary, comedic antics.
Freckles is comfortable staying in a crate when his foster mom is out running errands. At night, though, he much prefers snuggling up close in bed — sometimes even sneaking in a kiss. He’s also a fantastic traveler, happily relaxing in his crate during rides...many of which have been long distance! He’s mastered going potty at the rest areas while on a leash, and he's proud of it! He would make a fantastic traveling companion!
So, what's Freckles’ dream home? A place with a nice size fenced yard, lots of playtime, another dog buddy, and, most of all, a devoted human who’s ready for a spirited, spunky and fun canine best friend.
Freckles is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue near Lamar, SC. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, negative for heartworm, microchipped, and on monthly preventative meds. So, what are you waiting for?
