KAL
Meet Kal!!!! Kal is a energetic, outgoing, friendly pup who is looking for an active family who is ready to share his exuberance for life, guide him into adulthood, and enjoy a lifetime of adventures together. Kal is bright, curious, outgoing, affectionate, and eager to learn. While the vast majority of Border Collies feature the traditional black-and-white pattern, solid or near-solid black coats can occur genetically, which makes them very uncommon, which makes Kal even more special!
He is currently enjoying typical puppy activities including exploring and hanging out with his canine foster sister, wrestling with each other, playing with toys, always up for a game of tug of war, doing zoomies round the house, giving puppy kisses, socializing with his foster mom! So Kal would do great in a home with another dog he can romp around with! He also watches and imitates his foster sister, learning every day.
This little munchkin is already proving just how smart he is too! He sits politely for his meals and for treats, takes them gently, he does come when called, and let’s foster mom know when he needs to go outside. He is comfortable sleeping in a large crate and loves his belly rubs before bedtime!
Kal is ready to bring his own special personality to a forever home. Kal has a rather carefree, joyful personality that makes him a constant source of smiles and entertainment. He takes his play time very seriously, loves his squeaky toy, but when he’s done for the day he likes to lay on the floor by his foster mom.
His foster mom expects Kal to mature into an active, intelligent companion who will thrive with families that are able to provide the exercise, training, and mental stimulation Border Collies need. As with most border collies, he will likely excel with people who enjoy hiking, running, dog sports, training, or simply including their dog in an active lifestyle.
Kal was born around May 21. He is 7/8 border collie and 1/8 Australian Shepherd. He is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, on heartworm prevention and flea/ tick medication and microchipped. Kal will be adopted out with a neuter contract. Because young puppies are naturally energetic and playful, they often jump, nip, and unintentionally scratch during normal puppy play, to help set both the puppy and adopters up for success, we do not place young puppies in homes with very young children.
