COMING SOON — MEET BEAR!
Meet Bear, an 11-month-old mixed-breed youngster with classic Border Collie markings. His size, however, suggests some larger-breed ancestry. Bear still has a little growing and filling out to do, so we're expecting this handsome fellow to eventually be about the size of a Golden Retriever.
Bear is currently being fostered in Chocowinity, NC, where he's settling back into the comforts of home life after his shelter stay. His foster family gives him time to relax, let his personality shine through, and show us more of what makes this big boy so special!
Bear can be a bit shy at first; however, after a reassuring scratch behind the ears, he is all in! So far, he is proving to be a loyal, affectionate, gentle boy who loves his humans, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is always happy to head out for a walk. He's easy to handle, eager for affection, and has a sweet, friendly nature.
So far Bear appears to be an active youngster who needs plenty of room to run and stretch those long legs! So, his foster mom will be looking for a home that offers Bear lots of space, another playful canine companion, an active lifestyle and people who like larger dogs.
Bear is expected to be available for adoption toward the end of October! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives. Stay tuned as we get to know more about this lovable guy and post new pictures.
