PEPPER
Meet Pepper, a puppy who loves life exuberantly! He’s always happy, with his tail wagging constantly. He is a 6 month old border collie mix. Currently weighs about 30lbs (expected to mature to about 45lb).
He is extremely smart, motivated to learn and loves to learn new tricks! He has an abundance of energy and would love to find a human or family who will spend time engaging his brilliant mind and providing ample exercise. He would thrive in agility or trick training classes!
He is being fostered on a small farm where he has been introduced to cats, cows, pigs, horses, chickens. He does like to chase cats and chickens if left to his own judgment. He is a border collie mix puppy, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. He doesn’t intend to hurt them, but needs consistent supervision and redirection.
He’s very sensible, not nervous or reactive when meeting new things. He’s a dog that wants to always be with people and gladly comes running when he’s called. He thinks all dogs are his best friends and rough housers like him. He’s learning to be more respectful.
He is looking for a family that has experience with high energy breeds as he is all puppy, constant motion and puts everything in his mouth. He is crate trained and is working on potty training. He’s going to need a significant amount of exercise and a job, now, and as an adult.
Up to date on vaccines, Hw meds, deworming, and flea/tick meds. He will be adopted with a neuter contract. Pepper is located in Middlesex, VA.
